Adobe launched the Creative Cloud subscription-based software service rather than having people buy the Creative Suite outright a few months ago.
This sparked an outrage to many people as you can no longer “own” the license of the software and essentially held hostage by Adobe as long as you need to use their software. Not to mention that the Creative Cloud suite costs $49/month.
In today’s Photoshop World conference, Adobe announced that they’ll offer a Photoshop Photography Program, wherein you can get access to Photoshop and Lightroom plus extra services at $9.99 a month.
You can watch the keynote replay here.
Note that the price is NOT an introductory price but the final price (throughout your subscription) if you sign up before December 31st, 2013.
